ABOUT US

KIITEC, a NACTE-registered technical institute (REG/EOS/027) in Moshono, Arusha, was founded in 2004 by French engineers. Supported by FTE (Switzerland) and ADEI (France), it continues to produce top-tier technicians in Tanzania.

Mastercard Foundation

Arusha, Tanzania — Don Bosco KIITEC is proud to announce the launch of the “Skills to Fly” project, made possible through the generous support of the Mastercard Foundation. This transformative initiative will provide educational opportunities for 200 girls in Engineering, equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to pursue careers in high-demand technology fields.

The “Skills to Fly” project focuses on preparing young women for excellence in Computer Engineering, Renewable Energy, Electronics, Telecommunication, and Industrial Automation. By supporting girls from underprivileged backgrounds, the program not only empowers individuals but also contributes to breaking gender barriers in science, technology, and engineering sectors.

“Mastercard Foundation’s support is a beacon of hope for many talented young women who would otherwise be denied access to technical education,” said Fr. Sebastian, Director Don Bosco KIITEC. “Through this partnership, we are nurturing the next generation of female engineers who will drive innovation, uplift communities, and shape Africa’s technological future.”

With “Skills to Fly,” Don Bosco KIITEC and Mastercard Foundation are joining hands to create meaningful impact—advancing gender equality, transforming lives, and ensuring that when girls learn, entire communities rise.
