On Friday, January 18th, KIITEC Institute marked a new turn in the direction of the institute. In a meeting with the chairman of the board of directors of KIITEC and president of FTE Mr. Francis Brochon, the vice president Mr. Michel Ramser, the president of ADEI Mr. Jean-Pierre Acquadro, management and staff of KIITEC along with the students, Mr. Brochon announced the board’s decision to hand over management and governance of the institute to the Salesians of Don Bosco.
This move was triggered by a bonafide desire to ensure the institute’s autonomous and continual operation towards it’s long term visions. The necessity of handing over the reins was due to the fact that most of the current members of the board are past their retirement age, thus it was evident that new directors had to be nurtured in order to continue pursuing the mission.
Earlier in January, the board appointed Mr. Gerald Sambayukha to be the principal of the institute. It is of note that Mr. Sambayukha was previously a member of KIITEC’s advisory board.
