IT and Networking Teacher

Typical responsibilities of the job include:

  • Teaching students IT and Networking up to NTA6
  • Installing and configuring computer networks and systems
  • Identifying and solving any problems that arise with computer networks and systems
  • Maintaining existing software and hardware and upgrading any that have become obsolete
  • Monitoring computer networks and systems to identify how performance can be improved
  • Providing network administration and support

Qualifications

A degree or equivalent  from a recognized and accredited institution in the following subjects is likely to increase your chances of getting the job:

  • Computer systems engineering
  • Computer systems and networks
  • Network security (VPNs) management

Attaining professional qualifications in at least two areas listed below shall be a must.  (KIITEC shall sponsor you)

  • CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Network+ certification
  • Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA)
  • Juniper Certified Internet Expert (JNCIE);
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
  • Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP)
