PRE- REQUISITES

Basic knowledge on electricity/electronics/instrumentation is desirable.

TARGET GROUP

Electrical/Electronic and Industrial/Instrumentation Engineers/Technicians.

NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS

A minimum of 4 participants for the course is desirable.

DURATION 

40 hours with the following two options:

4 -Weeks (Mon- Friday, from 4pm to 6pm)

                                or

1-Week (Mon – Friday, from 8a.m – 4pm)

STUDENTS LEARNING OUTCOMES:

  • Be able to use Vijeo Designer to create a HMI application
  • Configure communications between a Magelis target and a PLC
  • Create a new Vijeo Designer application from the ground up
  • Create Vijeo Designer variables manually as well as importing variables from a PLC project
  • Be able to use VijeoCitect to create, backup and restore new projects
  • Configure communications to I/O devices to VijeoCitect
  • Develop Equipment hierarchies for object-oriented tag structures in Vijeocitect
  • Create graphics pages in VijeoCitect incorporating elements of the graphic symbol library
  • Build and customize Alarms, trends and reports in Vijeocitect
  • Troubleshoot and correct problems happen in VijeoCitect

HUMAN MACHINE INTERFACE (HMI)

  • Introduction, importance and application of HMI
  • Introduction to Vijeo designer software and Magelis HMI
  • Project management in Vijeo designer
  • Identify, create and link different types of variables in Vijeo designer
  • Graphics creation in Vijeo designer link with magelis HMI
  • Simulation of animation and control in Vijeo designer
  • Creation of trends, alarms, email, script, forms, recipes, security and events in Vijeo designer
  • Exercises on designing and implementation of projects based on the knowledge provided

SUPERVISORY CONTROL AND DATA ACQUISITION (SCADA)

  • Introduction to SCADA and Vijeocitect
  • The Vijeocitect configuration Environment
  • Project management in Vijeocitect
  • Communications and equipment
  • Graphics creation in VijeoCitect
  • Configuring trends, alarms, trends, reports, genies and pop up panels
  • Exercises on design and implement of projects based on training
